Paulette Cole, CEO and Creative Director of ABC Home
Paulette Cole is a visionary presence in socially responsible business. Under Paulette’s direction, ABC Home was created as an iconic NYC destination that has served as a catalyst in representing home design as a key form of self-expression. With beauty, design and commerce as tools, ABC guides a conscious, influential participant/change-agent to creatively commit to nurturing the planet and its communities while actualizing home as a sacred space. ABC aspires to manifest a universal exchange where spirit, sustainability, culture, currency and creation coexist; a holistic sensory experience to inform and inspire participation. From vintage & antiques to abc goodwood from responsibly managed forests; chemical free organic beds to indigenous artistry, and its protection, with global cooperatives, ABC Home offers choice at the cutting edge of design, beauty and sustainability to create home as a mirror of one’s essence, vision and values.
Paulette’s newest visions to promote holistic beauty, wisdom and wellness include ABC Kitchen with Jean-Georges, integrating cuisine into the ABC experience with a passionate commitment to offering the freshest local & organic ingredients possible; and Deepak Home Base, a physical and virtual salon and a curated conversation hosted by Deepak Chopra, with a vision to reach a critical mass of people to collectively create a just, sustainable, peaceful, healthy and joyful world.
In 2004, Paulette founded the ABC Home & Planet Foundation, developing MISSIONmarket Gifts of Compassion with visionary organizations to create choices for consumers to leverage their investments in giving gifts that have transparency in their intention and outcome. The gifts honor a recipient while serving to create true beauty in the world through targeted services that nurture the people and the planet.
Paulette has produced and created sacred environments for a range of special events, installations, and conferences. These include the original Chopra Center, the NYC Spirit in Business conference, Love Your Tree with Eve Ensler and the Red Tent at Eve Ensler’s Omega’s NYC Women and Power conference. At ABC Home, she has produced month-long installations such as Gateway to India, to shift the paradigm of the West’s perception of India by exploring spirit, culture, color and artistry, and Power to Women: Our Most Precious Resource, illuminating Africa as a nexus point of healing in the effort to transform our world.
Paulette is an active member of The Social Venture Network, and was a founding member of the Sustainable Furniture Council. She has been recognized for her socially conscious business model in publications including Vanity Fair, Newsweek, The New York Times, Metropolitan Home, House & Garden, and Town & Country. She has been honored by the New York Open Center, AMFAR Gift for Life, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and the NY School of Interior Design. Paulette Cole lives in NYC with her daughter Lena.
